Do I need to download an app or mess with WiFi?
No. No app. No WiFi. No internet connection needed.
Plug in the camera. Turn on the parent unit. They pair automatically in under 30 seconds. That's it.
How far does the connection actually work?
Up to 300 metres in open space. In a typical UK house (walls, floors), you'll get 50-80 metres easily.
Works perfectly from nursery to bedroom, kitchen, garden. Signal won't drop if you go downstairs or outside.
How long does the battery actually last?
Parent unit battery lasts:
- 10 hours in VOX mode (screen only turns on when baby makes sound)
- 4 hours with screen on continuously
Can I actually see them clearly in the dark?
Absolutely. Infrared night vision gives you crystal clear video in complete darkness. Not that grainy green blob from cheap monitors. You can see their chest rising and falling, whether they've kicked the blanket off, everything.
Will it wake me up with false alarms every hour?
No. VOX mode only activates when there's actual sound from baby. Not every time a car passes, the heating turns on, or the house creaks.
